Delete your account

You can delete your ClearOwe account and everything in it at any time.

In the app (fastest)

1. Open ClearOwe and go to Settings.
2. Tap your account at the top, then Delete account.
3. Confirm. Your account and your encrypted backup are deleted straight away, and the phone is cleared.

To keep the account but erase everything recorded, choose Delete all my data instead.

By email

If you no longer have the app, email privacy@clearowe.com from the address on your account (or tell us how you signed in). We’ll confirm it’s you and delete the account within 7 days.

What gets deleted

• Your account (email and sign-in details).
• Your encrypted backup: every person, entry, loan, EMI, thing and reminder.

Purchase records that the law requires us to keep for tax and accounting are retained for that period only. Copies in our providers’ routine backups expire within 30 days. Data on a phone you no longer have stays on that phone until the app is removed.
